Our Members

Partnership Governance
The Western Intake Partnership is securing a long-term water supply to support our communities’ water needs. To support that mission, we are building strong relationships with the community members involved in the Partnership. This includes building a foundation for the Partnership’s governance.
About the Governance Process
The Western Intake Partnership recognizes the responsibility we have to cooperate with each other and always focus on those we serve. The icons below outline specific things we’re doing to determine how the Partnership will function.
Interlocal Agreement
The City of Durham, OWASA, and TriRiver Water are negotiating two interlocal agreements for their collaboration on the Western Intake Partnership. The first interlocal agreement addresses joint participation in a water intake in Jordan Lake. A second interlocal would be used for OWASA, TriRiver Water, or another allocation holder in Jordan Lake Water Supply, to be allocated capacity in the initial intake, raw water, treatment and pipeline facilities to be constructed by 2032.
