Water Intake and Treatment Facility
We are planning a new water intake and treatment facility on the west side of Jordan Lake. This facility is made up of several components, including:
A new raw water intake and pump station
A water supply pipeline to transport water from the intake to the treatment facility
A regional water treatment plant
Water Treatment Pilot Testing
The Western Intake Partnership is currently completing pilot testing on a variety of advanced water treatment options for the Regional Water Treatment Facility associated with the Jordan Lake Water Supply Project. The Regional Water Treatment Facility will include state-of-the-art treatment for contaminants of emerging concern. So, what is the purpose of this testing?
Pilot testing is being used to assist in the evaluation and selection of treatment processes that will be most effective in treating water from Jordan Lake.- Pilot testing will be conducted throughout most of 2023. In the photo below, multiple pilot testing columns have been constructed to test the variety of advanced treatment options.
